TO THE YOUNG:

Hillbilly wisdom: Don’t compare yourself against anyone you can’t see in the mirror. Transcend your
individual differences to fulfill a greater purpose- don’t act like old people. Become a problem solver, a
critical thinker, an effective communicator and positive contributor to the community.
You will need a job-cash flow. Therefore, you will need to know the steps necessary, ask for the help
you need, apply yourself, and work.
The rules apply and there are limits but they are largely self imposed. With each success comes more
responsibilities, more accountability, and more rewards- both $ and personal satisfaction.
Are you better today than you were yesterday? What about tomorrow? What limits are acceptable to
you?
Don’t ask for things you don’t need? Give as you are able. Commitment is a two way street and at
times you will need to go over halfway. But you are not in this alone. Request a different school if you can’t get what you want where you are at.
Focus.
Communicate.
Think.
Challenge yourself.
Be a life learner.
