Hillbilly version: thought there were separate. How can the public school system allow the tax revenue to go other institutions as they go broke? The money allotted to students for an education is being drained into private schools, religious schools, and home schools. Teachers are being laid off because the student population is being reduced. Under Arkansas Act 400 the ten commandments will be displayed in all educational facilities this fall (2026-27). Don’t think adding this will bring the students back. Rather, it will probably get the state sued- another expense which will take educational dollars.

Let those parents who want their children in schools other than public schools pay for it. Stop funding alternate means of educational instruction.
