Better Schools and Better days

Big beautiful bill passed along party lines with VP Vance the deciding vote in the Senate. Expect the Congress to flip from Republican to Democratic majority in the next election. Endure the interim best you can. Final version over 880 pages.

Two different approaches to education in RED states

Hillbilly version: Thought they were the same. As the school year 2025-2026 approaches Idaho requires a banner stating “everyone welcome here” to be removed from the classroom. At the same time Arkansas is being sued because they require the “ten commandments” be posted in every classroom. Ideology should not be expressed in one place and specific ideology is required in another.

Both states are controlled by the republicans. Am I the only one who thinks this is confusing?

If you are seeking educational excellence you probably don’t want to be in either.

Do blue states have better schools? Blue states have better funding and better test scores. Why?

The Red States are leading in privation over improvements in public school system but the Blue states are catching up. More public money is being pulled from public coffers to fund alternate schools. An adjustment will be necessary.
