Hide what you fear

Hillbilly version: things are not as good as some would have you believe. There is a tendency to hide what is unpleasant or less than perfect. Maybe this applies to the homeless in nation’s capital. Homelessness has a lot of negative connotations. Our fearless leader approaches this by restricting those. They have to go. After all, it looks bad. There has been no or no research into the who, what, where, when and why? How many are veterans? Whose job is it to address the concerns of this group? They have to go! “We are going to hide the problem.

They have to go is not a solution. Removal or arresting the homeless is nothing but hiding the facts. A solution starts with recognizing the problem and addressing the cause not putting a band aid on something that needs stitches. Some of these issues have been addressed by social programs, aid if you will, for the underlying causes but this administration in an effort to save money has cut federal money allocated by congress. Yet, there is little effort by the legislative or executive branch to curtail the United States dive into debt. We, new policy?, will remove anything that doesn’t look good. What looks bad is the executive branch not executing the directives of the legislative branch. Quit hiding your poor job performance and misdirecting the conversation. A good leader sets the example for the rest. Anyone who cannot do their job needs to be replaced.

The numbers show improvements over past years but an emergency situation is declared and the troops are sent in to help with no request for said aid. Distraction or slight of hand might be an answer or hiding the truth might be another.

Who are the homeless, why are they homeless, what are they doing in D.C.(as well as other cities in the United States)? If self imposed federal help is allowed, then where and when does it stop? Define emergency?
