Different or the Same

Hillbilly wisdom: if you let the fox guard the chickens, chickens will go missing. It is ridiculous to expect the fox to be any thing but a fox and two foxes together will take more chickens than one does. The results of the meeting between Putin and Trump (Russia and America) results: There was a meeting. The meeting was closed to public review. The agenda?

Like so many things actions speak louder than words. No one wants war? The spoils of war go the victor. The victor is not decided until the referee stops the match.

There was no deal but the participants (Ukraine and Russia) were not there. Now each leader of those present (Russia and United States) will spin the outcome from their perspective. There will be more meetings. Peace is a fragile process. Let us hope, today, we can treat the Zelenskyy with more respect than his last trip to washington. Trump is hinting at supporting Ukraine from military advances of forgien powers- a process similar to NATO’s article 5. Will past dealings instill the trust necessary for peace deal to proceed? Prediction: Peace is not in the forseeable future. Do not forget elections in Ukraine were set aside because of the War. You can be sure other leaders are noticing how to avoid elections. Another question for the future.

Fascist: is a far-right, autoritarian political ideology and movement characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militariasm and suppression of opposition. Does this apply more or less to Putin, Trump, and Zelenskyy? Call it like you see it.
