Hillbilly version: if he can do it, why should I be constrained by the rules? There are critical choices in life, splits in the road, that once taken determine the choices available down the road. Former President Clinton told Congress and I quote “I did not have sex with that woman”. Then there was the blue dress. It appears, that perhaps, he lied to Congress. This got him impeached. The Senate needed another vote to remove him from office. He did admit later to cannabis use but he was in England at the time and he did not inhale.
Trump’s impeachment in his first term ended the same way. Did not have the votes to remove him. His party did not control both houses. Good ole boy network still works. What’s to stop him this time around? He fires people people because they misrepresented paperwork on house loans. Does anyone ask about his convictions? Paperwork was a little out of order. LUCKY or impeachment is a toothless dog. Especially! If your party controls both houses of Congress.
Enough of that. Is there anyone who did not have a power ball ticket for the one billion dollar drawing? LIARS. Even I had one. Well, maybe two. Just in case the first one missed. My kids tell me I should not gamble. They think the lottery is fixed. Mistakes happen? I might get lucky. Who better to win the lottery than someone my age? You really think I’m going to take 30 annual payments? There it is. The government makes 50 percent right up front. I’m also running for president in ’32. I’ll be over 80 old by then. Talk about outside the loop. Am planning on running my campaign from the front porch. I want be able to drive by then. The weakest area in my campaign so far is I tell the truth. But I’m working on that fault.
