On Friday, October 24, 2025 the third largest school district in Arkansas asked a federal court to join a lawsuit concerning the legality of diverting public funds from the public schools. Basically through the Educational Freedom Accounts created in 2023 the public schools of Arkansas are being deprived of funds to educate the remaining students.

Okay. To the school board members of the 230+ school districts of Arkansas, I would refer to your attention to Ark code 6-13-620 (11)”Do all other things necessary and lawful for the conduct of efficient free public schools in the school district”.

Personally, other forms of educating children available to the parents should never be dismissed. The parent should exercise and consider what is best for their children but options other public school should be at the expense of the family. Taking money from the public schools lowers the ability of the schools to provide the best educational experience. Instead of diverting funds perhaps suggestions on improving the educational experience for everyone. Get involved.

School board members have a decision, remain silent, say nothing. Or if you by chance believe your ability to provide efficient free public school is being restricted by this Voucher program, then you are required to so all things necessary. Remember you ran for this position and all it entails. Efficient free public school is not something to take lightly.
