Hillbilly wisdom: below 50 percent is not a mandate. As a matter of fact it is failing. When the polls taken by the media controlled by the president only reflect a satisfaction rating of 43%. It is not something to brag about. A rating that low means you need adjustments, not distractions. When a person in position of power and decision making considers only one perspective, that person or the organization that person represents can only advance so far. To lead successfully advancements must be for all constituents. Common sense dictates that not all varying points of view will advance equally but each division must share in the gains. Ruling parties do not rule in isolation. A nation lives and interacts with others. Likewise, members within the nation will differ in both their goals and their methods used to achieve those goals. The United States is composed of fifty different states, united and guided by a centralized administration. This arrangement allows for experiments or different approaches in methods of governance. Over time, this arrangement has served the nation well.
