Hillbilly wisdom: I weary of enmity. The use of fear as a weapon. We are guided by negative campaigns. Seldom does a candidate run on a positive platform.

“I know the reason the country is in trouble”. A pause, “Old White men”. This bit of wisdom came from a young female fresh from law school. A profession achieved through the support of her white father and mother. “And what is the solution?” asked her father.

Old white men are dis proportionally represented. And they are elected by whom?

Someone is to blame? There is enough blame to go around. The focus is upon the most visible parties. Blame is shared by the voters who repeatedly reelect the same people. In most instances the voting process controls the voting choices. The process is largely controlled through the use of money. Large sums of money spent to influence voting blocks. The election is swayed, rigged, predetermined or stolen. This is legal? Rules have been altered to make it legal. Gold, cash, political influence and favors are used to maintain status quo. Those vested in the system will not voluntarily give up the reins of control. Control is symbolized largely by old white men. We see these persons in the media. They present talking points. Every question asked brings forth a prepared speech. Often, the speech has nothing or very little to do with the question asked. As long as we the voters accept this behavior, it will not change. In January 2025, 86 members in the house and 33 members in the senate were over 65. Less than a third of the members are old (over 65). These old people/ men, if you prefer, do not have the votes to control a government without the support of the others. Example: release of the Epstein files was accomplished by a vote with only one vote against the motion. Why?
The House was blocked by the speaker Mike Johnson (age 53) who through use of procedural rules would not bring the issue to a vote. The public outcry became so great that a stance against the release would have been political suicide.

Old men and women are no longer young. That does not mean they should be absolved for their past and the harm they caused but they cannot control the process by themselves. Old men are so set in their ways that any possibility of any other thing being even remotely possible is nonexistent. This is not old people. This is entrenched interest or status quo.

Our country is divided. Almost every issue splits 50/50. The total exclusion of other opinions is paramount. If your way is the way, (left or right, Republican or democrat, old or young) that is okay. My question is when you arrived at your present position did you realize at that moment you had changed? Along the way you changed. You were wrong before and now you are right. Is it possible that you are still changing now? The final destination might be different than your present location. How do you know that you are right now? Do we all have to travel the same path to arrive at the final destination?

Politicians lie and lie so well that we doubt our own perceptions and intelligence. The politicians are like children. They wear you down. And then one day, one day you notice something. The lie is too perfect. You see little things which have always been there but somehow you failed to notice. And you know they are lying, The world changes because you see a new truth. A truth that was hidden to you before. It is there. You don’t want to believe what you now know but you do. Things have changed. The lies are no longer convincing. It makes you mad, sad and amazed that you have been so dense, naive or gullible.

The TRUST is not there anymore. The lies have come to the forefront and you have too accept the fact. We have leaders? Leaders that are not telling us the truth. We cannot trust them. Likewise, other nations cannot trust them or us.

We do not want to believe this new truth. Somehow, we are responsible. Did we expect too much? If we just let it ride, it will get better. But it does not get better. These lying leaders will not self correct. We look at the good things they have done. We want to bargain with them, not accept they are worse. The lies grow. It is no longer possible to allow those lying leaders to continue. It is sad. The liars have become professional. Now, they would rather lie than tell the truth. It has become a game that they are determined to play. The truth is not as much fun as spinning a yarn and seeing how many will buy into the falsehood. The lie is the new truth. They cannot see the difference? Look for yourselves, If you suspect a problem, there is a problem.
