Tom Cotton update

Hillbilly version: When asked if president Trump needed to seek congressional approval to continue the strikes, Cotton said NO. The first reason for a no answer is: if trump had to ask congress for approval, then Congress would have to go on the record as for or against preemptive strikes on international waters. Strikes against groups that do not present a imminent danger to the United States. We certainly would not want the Congress to do their job. Congress doing their job would remove their claim of deniability. They would no longer be able to pass the buck. The time is coming when someone will have to answer for these strikes. Vote as your constituents would have you vote. You do know how they would vote. RIGHT? If the people you represent wish for the strikes to continue, you should vote accordingly.

Second: “There are examples of presidents using the military to protect America going back to the earliest days of our republic”, Tom Cotton. Tom forgot to mention the word lawful use of the military. We assume that was oversight. But if it was not oversight, then two wrongs do not make a right. My Lai massacre comes to mind. The unlawful use of the military was later classified as a war crime. But Tom cannot be held accountable for something that happened before he was born. Now he is in a position to stop the killing of persons not able to defend themselves. Or can he be held accountable? Remember Tom, yo do not have immunity.
