Hillbilly wisdom: Once again we are faced with the same old scenario. There is a part of the government which will allow the uni party to act like they are battling for their position. Some would have the United States cut funding to an agency because they are not following direction or are overstepping their boundaries. But alas, it is tied to essential services and somethings must be accepted because we do not vote independently on each issue. For example, cutting funding for ICE will cut TSA. Violence does not make allies. This is true for both sides of a controversy. (Ice agents and protesters) Violence isolates and discredits the movement you support.

The expected result is congress will fund something that the majority of Americans do not want.

Each congressional vote should be limited to a single issue. Surgical precision in budgeting process would eliminate waste.

The current approach allows non-essential or controversial elements to exist within the budget. These unwanted actions are like a cancer eating away at the good. Eventually, these cancerous elements will eat away at the foundation and the animal, plant, or the society will die.

Our democracy is self destructing. We cannot afford this. Pork in the form of attached amendments needs to stop. If our democracy dies don’t act like it was unavoidable or we did not know. Demand more from your representatives or kiss our society goodbye.
