One Billion in oil sales

Hillbilly wisdom: you must accept that change is needed before you can change anything. It is being reported that Venezuela sold 1 billion in oil sales. What does that mean? Perhaps the per day volume is up. Without improvement or change in the infrastructure, Venezuela has increased production.

Assume this to be the case not fake news. Then what has changed? The removal of trade restrictions, not all, but enough to more than double production. We can say with little doubt that the reason for the increase is not more production capabilities but less restrictions on trade. Who or what is responsible for the change?

Applied tariffs are that powerful. There has been an economic war going on. The aggressor is the imposer of tariffs and might be accused of a regime change policy. Check Trump 2017 and you will find that to be true. The policy worked against a small country and Venezuela is being run through an interim government.

Now, Cuba is in the sites of the Trump administration. Cuba is being systemically cut off from the world. Cubans did not ask to be isolated. Other countries will be subjected to increased tariffs if they try to break the oil embargo. When tariffs are used like this, it is war, undeclared war against the people of Cuba.

The United States will control Venezuela until Trump decides otherwise? I call upon Congress to stop this aggressive behavior. Using tariffs against the sovereignty of other nations is nothing less than a war crime. Do not support this behavior or you place yourself and the United States in jeopardy.
