Hillbilly wisdom: Why would the president support the construction of the Gordie Howe International Bridge between Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario and now as it nears completion threaten to delay the opening?

Michigan voted republican in the 2024 election! Seems like a good way to flip Michigan back Blue. Actions such as this certainly builds our relations with our northern neighbor? Maybe if the name was Trump Howe, it would help. A prize of some kind to the president would seal the deal!
