Has ICE been privatized

Hillbilly wisdom: Fear, justified or not, motivates those involved. Should we be afraid that Ice or a paramilitary unit will use similar tactics against others say in the next election?

There is an element of fear about the upcoming midterm elections. The DOJ claims that we need to be sure the right voters get to vote. *(How far will this go and how will this be enforced?) The movement to nationalize the election is against the Constitution. Elections are state rights, delegated to the states. This system has proven effective for over 200 years. Maybe the founders were wrong and maybe not. Our system of government is based upon the premise that power should be in the hands of the people. (Tenth amendment to the Constitution).

For those who swore an allegiance to the Constitution, SAVE is yet another challenge placed upon you. Change is inevitable. But change for the sake of change is not what we need. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

It is my understanding that about a third of the states have the conditions being proposed in the SAVE act already in place. Arkansas being one of those. Has anybody considered the disenfranchised voters. Arkansas has a turnout (between 50 and 60%) of the eligible voters. The low turnout is due to multiple reasons not just the stiffer requirements involved in voting.

Senator Cotton is a cosponsor of SAVE. Check out the potential voters versus those who do vote. Make up your on mind. The numbers don’t lie. Of course there are other reasons for not voting besides fear of the government. But I dare say, enforcement beyond what is already available will effectively lower turnout on election day.

The flip side of that argument is those non voters will get pissed and show up to vote against the current elected officials even if they have to obtain an ID to do so. Careful what you ask for, you just might get it.
