Hillbilly wisdom: Senator Cotton, Welcome back to work. There are a few things that needs your attention. The effect of tariffs upon Arkansas farmers. Please don’t tell us you do not know. You swore an oath to uphold the Constitution *the power to tax is a power delegated to Congress in the Constitution. So far you have deliberately chose not to reign in the executive branch. Doing nothing to stop policies which have and continue to hurt your home state, you followed a convicted criminal as he lead us down the rabbit hole. There are other ways to get the same results. Or is Trump the fall guy? A long investigation is definitely not needed to establish what we already know.

Now, there is the small matter of the tariffs collected and how to pay them back. Are you prepared to tell the folks back home that the money is not there? Did the money disappear? Is it possible that Congress spent the tariffs collected?

Arkansans, who have paid higher prices due to the added charges that tariffs caused, do not expect to be paid back because that would make sense. Nor do we expect to see prices revert to pre tariff levels. Large companies will have receipts to show the actual cost incurred, a paper trail. They will be reimbursed after the prolonged legal battle. The people at the bottom, your constituents, will never see anything but the results of the use of illegal taxation upon them. Actions which will long affect our country, our state, and our children’s future. These actions are FRAUD, at the very least. What I expect, being skeptical about politicians, is you will jump in line for another trip down the rabbit hole. Go ahead and support POLICIES that hurt Arkansans.

It is a shame that this happened right before a primary election. While Arkansas is solidly red, there are other Republican candidate for senator. It’s A democratic trap if I had to guess. Yes, that is it. Those damn democrats! You can lie to the folks back home or admit you made a mistake and will do better. But then it is still two weeks before the primary election but you should be alright if you can stall any votes until after March 3^rd.

The sad part is this is not the only illegal actions by this administration under your watch. This is about respect for the United States domestic and foreign. At what point will we deal fairly with other countries and each other? How deep is the rabbit hole?
