Hillbilly wisdom: It is a good time to be in the United States because the future is not stable. We are on the fast track in a downward direction. We have fewer trading partners and a larger trading deficient. Our president bargains by using insults and threats and the world will eventually resist. ON the day of the State of the Union, the major English speaking countries(Canada, UK, and Australia) have forged a new agreement that will allow them to trade through the bank of England in non dollar currencies. These countries will have favored status for trades. The resistance is increasing.

Until we can manufacture our needs we will need to trade. The manufacturing base has dropped continuously from the 1980’s until today. Buy American is not the rallying cry that it once was. Trust in America is less than it was a year ago. Under present administration we are not considered stable.

Do not expect any changes in Trump’s approach. There is no one he will not insult. If you do not agree with him you will be subject to retaliatory measures.

Remember, the president executes the will of Congress. Congress is back in session. Here we go again. The Trade Act of 1974 section 122: the president must consulate with Congress. Before or after? How did he consulate with you if you were not in session? Congress needs to step up. 122 is meant to stabilize economic conditions but enacting tariffs does not guarantee countries will trade with the United States. Congress represents the people. RIGHT!
