European Nations and the Strait of Hormuz

Hillbilly wisdom: There is a type of personality that jumps before they leap or as Hoopie would say keep your foot out of your mouth, they don’t taste good even with salt. The question is: can a person learn to look before they leap? Can they first listen and second follow advice? Now the situation that the United States and Iran find themselves might qualify as such an event. This is not a debate about who did what? The situation is very real and it has consequences that some say were unforeseen. People have died on both sides. That happen in war. Millions have been spent that could have been spent on other things.

Let’s take Trump’s comment about the European nations responsibility for securing the strait. Trump says “We don’t need it?” That may or may not be accurate. For the sake of argument let’s assume the European nations say OK we will do it. And after careful and thoughtful consideration, they ask the United States to leave, to go home, and everyone else in the region agrees to stay within their borders and to respect all nation’s sovereignty. We could have peace.

The “strait will open nationally”. It could happen without the death and destruction. Damn, got that foot in the mouth again, more salt please!
