“Never judge a man until you wall in his shoes”. “Don’t ask for what you can not give”. My life is full of colliquialisms and has been for over seven decades. My good neighbor once told me “for someone who has been to college, you’re the dumbest person I know”. Guilty as charged. Learned a lot from that man. We are shaped by our interactions with others both directly and indirectly.
For whatever reason my parents moved back to Arkansas two weeks before I started first grade. Cultural shock is putting it mildly. We did not live on the wrong side of the tracks. There were no tracks. The public highway was a dirt road. We lived of the wrong side of the creek but so did our neighbors. We were a community and best friends. We shared and supported each other. It was a good move.
Do I have great wisdom to share with you. Probably not. But open 2 anything will attempt to look at situations from different perspectives. Obviously, we will at times piss one or all off but it is necessary to walk in the other persons shoes before we can make enlightened judgments.
At times you will not agree but we hope that by honestly examining situations, we can disagree but respect the beliefs of the other side . We encourage and expect the same in return. Some will ask WHY ?
The best reply I have is WHY NOT!
It is the intent of open2anything to entertain. “If you can’t laugh at the absurdity of some things, you will cry”. Be realistic, the truth is the truth. Reality is and must be accepted but you do not have to like it. Change is possible. The road is paved now and the phone is in my pocket. All in a short time. Think of the possibilities. Thank you for your time. Think about the possibilities.
