Hillbilly wisdom: the concern about Diablo’s health has been an overwhelming. Diablo is responding well to treatment at the VA. The physical is barely noticeable. Yes, he is a veteran but he is afraid he will be deported as his citizenship papers have been put on hold. His PTSD condition has been elevated due to his encounter with Killer. (See post of 4-17). He was doing so well. The meds are working! It is doctor’s considered opinion that his fear of ICE is more traumatic than his meeting with Killer. We who know him hold out hope. The rumors of false identification and a trip to Canada are false. The peace and familiarity of the front porch plus the meds are working wonders. We have to keep his contact with cats to a minimum.
