Hillbilly Wisdom: The Trump administration announced an indefinite extension of the cease fire. This action was taken to give the Iranians time to come up with an appropriate offer to end the war.

After winning the war, defeating the army, navy and air force and destroying the air defenses of Iran, there is a need to give the Iranians a chance to surrender. Many thought the United States would turn their ambitions toward Cuba or maybe Greenland next and it is understood that is still on the agenda. There is also a group that claims he did not understand the implications and the power that the Strait of Hormuz could have over not only Iran and the middle east countries but the entire world. The economic power of those controlling the strait is world wide. This control of the strait has been called the nuclear weapon of Iran. A rogue nation armed with a nuclear weapon is unacceptable. Iran nuclear weapons(0); United States nuclear weapons(5000+).

With all the sophisticated intel equipment and advisors both civilian and military available to the president of the United States, somehow President Trump did not understand the dangerous consequences of invading Iran on the world’s economy. Economic blackmail has been a long standing tactic of the ruling class against their adversaries. Military blockades have various levels of success based upon the ability to apply and maintain a blockade. The current projected effect of this blockade is 32 million people world wide will be reduced to a poverty level existence. This offsets years of work by various organizations, one of which is the United States.

One of the stated goals of this conflict is Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Does this include control of the waters within their boundaries? The United States entered into a cease fire to attempt to reach an end to hostilities and set up a military blockade the next day.

What if Trump did understand the power of the strait before he entered into this conflict and the blockade was part of the plans all along? Is Iran a battle in a larger war that only Trump knows we are fighting? Can’t be or he would inform Congress! Right?
