You did not have to guess where he stood.The truth is he was like most of his generation. They were a tough group who relied upon long days and hard work to survive. Damn politicians was one of his most common comments.

Rick Crawford filed a class action lawsuit against the government for retroactive pay. Hoopie, a staunch republican, would have immediately deemed him a damn politician. The S O B makes over 174,000 per year in a state where the average salary is around 55,000 and the median salary is under 65,000. Arkansas leads the nation in farm bankruptcies and almost every negative category and he wants retro pay. Bullshit! The SOB is serving Arkansas since 2011. He claims the increase in pay is needed to get and retain good people to serve Arkansas.

If Rick thinks the pay scale is to low he is welcome to drop out of public service and make his way in the private sector. He knew the pay scale when he ran for this eighth term in 2024. Getting retro pay was not mentioned during his campaign. It would appear his concerns are his pay and not the welfare and relative wages of the people of Arkansas.
