Hillbilly wisdom: This is not going to be accurate and certainly not precise. Bear with me. This is about the role of the United States in the world and how much that role affects the citizens of American. The economics of our involvement for those not on the front lines. The benefactors of the efforts of those on the front lines.

Note: *For anyone asleep during 2026, there is a conflict ongoing in the Middle East. This chapter of the Middle East conflict started on February 28. Today is June 24. 116 days (100 days rounding down) of increased gas cost to the American consumer. The increased cost of 1.00 dollar per gallon (approximately average over that time frame). Americans use @375 million gallons a day. $375 million a day times 100 days=3.75 billion additional revenue for the largest exporters of oil on the planet. Actually, that’s not bad. It is a small price to pay to be safe. The United States spent much more than that on the direct conflict in the first week. But there is a rumor, Americans are getting tired of fighting foreign wars. The economics is not working for the majority of Americans. Most Americans aren’t even sure about the reasons why we are involved. Is the war over? Did we win?
