Hillbilly wisdom: there are three main ways a bill becomes a law. (1)The president signs the bill and the bill is law. (2)The president vetoes the bill and the congress overrides the veto. Or (3)the president can let ten days pass and the bill becomes law without the president’s signature.

21^st Century Road to Housing Act (H.R. 6644) sent for the president’s signature and will become law around the 10^th of July. Bipartisan in nature, (85 to 5 in the senate; 358 to 32 in the house makes it veto proof) both houses of Congress are patting themselves on the back and telling how the bill will change the housing situation in United States.

EXCEPT: the Congress must remain in session during the ten day process. If the Congress does not remain in session the pocket veto exception comes into play. In ten days instead of becoming a law the bill dies and cannot be overridden. You tell me what is going on! To walk away from your job in the private sector is cause for dismissal.
