Hillbilly wisdom: The English language is considered by many as one of the hardest languages to master. Yes. It is particularly difficult for a hillbilly. Today my question is about the word SALE. In my neck of the woods a sale involves an exchange. Usually money for materials. President Trump’s effort to get the Supreme Court to re hear the Birth Rite issue, I am at a loss.

First, the 14^th amendment is clear. It you are born in America, you are a citizen. If you want to be a citizen you are qualified. The Supreme Court just said so. But the vote was 5-4. Obviously, the language is difficult for other as well. I’m getting there. Stick with me.

In reaction to alleged posters advertising citizenship for sale by unknown persons, President Trump said “American Citizenship in not for sale”. Yet, according to commerce Secretary Lutwick, Trump’s Gold Card program which has a $15,000 application fee; hundreds have applied; and One has been approved. *The Gold Card program also has a one million dollar required contribution to the federal government. Without getting tied up in the details of the Gold Card program, a $15,000 application fee plus a mandatory 1 million dollar fee to get in a program that leads to American citizenship sounds like a SALE. Not for the poor but a sale never-the-less.
