Hillbilly wisdom: Diablo is doing better. Bill’s friend Diablo (refer 4-17-26) has come a long way. His rehabilitation has been slow but is showing fruition. They visited last week. Basically the same scenario, Bill needed another bail of hay. The loading is so simple and literally takes a minute. Diablo hit the ground running. He was paroling the area. No fear. It helped that Killer was not around. The difference was noticeable and I remarked as much.

It turns out that Bill’s friend Jean has a small bear, Boo. Most of the time Boo stays out of sight. You can visit Jean and you will never know he in the neighborhood. Bill and Diablo were visiting and Boo, unaware of their presence came into the yard. When Bill stepped onto the porch Diablo followed. The short version is Diablo ran Boo up a tree and had to be called back. Diablo doesn’t know, and you can’t tell him, Boo is scared of loud noises. A dog barking sends him up a tree- literally.

Boo knows the noise will go away but more importantly, the noise cannot follow him up a tree. Boo is a gentle creature. He just doesn’t like loud noises.

Remember, you can’t tell Diablo.
