Hillbilly wisdom: why would Iran want to assassinate President Trump? President Trump is the best thing Iran has going. President Trump’s single handed actions has ceded them control over the Strait of Hormuz by engaging in a war without a well thought out plan.

A terrorist government uses violence, fear, and intimidation against civilian populations or other nations to achieve political, ideological, or military goals. Do the nations in the Iran war fit this definition?

If by chance President Trump was assassinated coming from the NATO summit, he would become a martyr much like the previous leader of Iran. America would come together. Violent removal of an American President would elevate support against Iran and America would escalate the war.

The assassination attempt did not occur. Over 100 total people on the plane including cabinet members, White House aides, and traveling press pool became decoys for the president. Any or all probably would have volunteered if given the chance. This is, after all, the President of the United States. Opinions of Trump may be low but the office of the United States Presidency is sacrosanct. But no prior communication with those left on the plane occurred.

Under the guidance of the Secret Service, President Trump left (not abandoned) Air Force One for a ride home in an airplane considered safer. This is the commander-in-chief of the American Military.

There was no attempt against the plane. “Thank you, Orange Jesus”. The rumor about an assassination attempt was fake news. Will the perpetrator of this rumor be made known to the American public? Not likely!

There is negative public image toward the president. Not the presidency but President Trump. How will this affect Trump’s approach to the war? Don’t forget there is another Carrier in route. Pull back or attack.
