Hillbilly wisdom: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Ask for a third time, you got to be kidding! Do you need a platform when your opponent has done every little over the last twelve years and particularly the last two years with his party in control of the house, senate, and the executive branch?
Probably not, not if you can project yourself as a nonmember of the establishment. Someone who is aware of the problems of Arkansans and will try something different. Is it enough to say you will do different. Probably, depends on how bad is it?
1. Political outsider. 2. Strongly believes that a United States senator has a duty to represent the people and the country, not the executive. 3. Doesn’t hide from the people of Arkansas. 4. Won’t be a rubber stamp for poor and harmful executive decisions. 5. Voting for a Democrat is not forbidden in the Ten Commandments. 6. Arkansans have elected Democrats in the past and survived. 7. The country desperately needs a new direction and Arkansas has a chance to play a part in that change.
