Reality is the United States is composed of many groups. The United States would be stronger if we spent less time fighting among ourselves and worked together.

There are many ways to conduct missions against others. The Iran situation is a prime example. The latest example is an expansion of sanctions. Sanctions against Iran have been in effect since November 1979. In an attempt to up the pressure on Iran August 2026. Secretary of the Treasury Bessett group(C) is implementing secondary sanctions against anyone trading with Iran. In effect, the United States is demanding the nations of the world choose sides. This plays well into the development of the BRICS game plan. Alternate payment plans will divert control away from the dollar to individual national currencies, in particular the Chinese Yuan. Sanctions and secondary sanctions keep the Iranian (war) situation going and continues the increased cost to the world and the American public.

In a parallel movement, tariffs and additional tariffs against United States allies are restricting worldwide trading relationships group B. These increase cost to everyone and further isolates the United States.

There are many pros and cons all of these approaches but the question today is who is the real target of the economic war? Every move being made (groups A,B,C) increases the cost to the American public but not the members of the executive branch.
