Will of the voters

Hillbilly wisdom: Arkansans, wake up. Don’t overthink the issue of term limits. Twice in the last thirty years Arkansans have passed term limits by citizen initiative. Those within the legislature then override the initiative. Article 5 section 1 allows them to do so. The will of the voters set aside by the very elected representatives that the initiative is designed to limit and control. The law gives them this authority. What did you expect? They know what is best for you. Sit down and shut up!

Term limits have both pros and cons. Your individual position will be largely influenced by the level of service provided to you by your representative. The issue here is the will of the voters.

Political entrenchment is self serving. For those who would place their own interest over the will of the people, don’t. Don’t belittle the voters intelligence or intentions. Getting an issue on the ballot is more difficult than it was in prior years. But and it is a big but.

If it is the will of the people that those representing you be limited, then Arkansans, wake up. Quit voting for them. Elect the other candidate. Simple. Anyone who would set aside the will of the voters does not have your best interest at heart anyway.
