Hillbilly wisdom: we practice vanity in different ways. When appearance takes precedence over substance. Over the last week both the Vice President and the President stated publicly there is not a war. Trump further states the military action in the Middle East is “small potatoes. Just a little military conflict. We could come home now and Iran would be decades rebuilding.” Yet, the US military is not withdrawing.
Question for the Congress: The United States military is active against the nation of Iran. 156 civilians killed at the Elementary school in Minah (120 children) on the first day of the conflict. Recent deaths related to bombing of a wedding. These are mistakes. Iranian civilian deaths vary from 2000 to 7000 depending on the source. Why does Congress allow this little conflict to continue?
The twelve day conflict in 2025 obliterated the nuclear capabilities of Iran. This is the term used by the president. If nuclear disarmament was the goal February 2026, then the 2025 bombing was a failure. Eventually the world will come to realize there was no nuclear threat. This conflict is a mistake.
When was the mistake made? In Trumps’ 1st term, The United States with drew from a nuclear deal;
twelve day war; or operation against Iran in February. This little conflict that was unnecessary. Or maybe the president lied about the reason for this conflict. This is September and this little conflict will not stop of its own accord. Relabeling the war does not remove the damage but sitting silently on the side lines and allowing it to continue is not the answer. Shallow your vanity and admit you made a mistake by allowing this war to continue. Why does Congress allow this little conflict to continue?
