Hillbilly wisdom: during the last half of the twentieth century radio signals were sent into space hoping for contact with something. Today is election day. The question from last century is relevant to this election cycle. The public has been bombarded with promises and negative advertisements but the question is anybody listening to the public.
The same issues in every poll taken reappear and everyone on both sides of the aisle recognize them as important to the voters but, at present, the hopeful have done little to fulfill the wishes of the electorate. Little from the incumbents in the way of solving the problems but they are asking for another chance. Can we trust them to act in our behalf now when their actions or lack of actions has contributed to the problems.
Congress countdown days in session tracker tells us the house of representatives has worked 72 out of 148 possible( if one chamber or the other is present then Congress is in session) and the senate has 22 days scheduled for October, November, and December. * Do not act like Congress or you will not have an income at Christmas. The twenty first century has championed working from home but the job could be better accomplished if the workers actually showed up for work. Absenteeism seems to be the norm. AGAIN, Is anybody listening?
Listening is more than volume. The politicians hear because they promise to fix the problems. Congress hears but does not understand. The high level of education found within the chambers has done little for comprehension of simple problems and how to work together to solve them for the benefit of Americans.
Today is election day.
