Hillbilly wisdom: the election gets closer. Only 42 days (6 weeks) until Arkansans will make their choices about how things are going. As Arkansans we will line up and vote for the candidates that have promised to make things better. AGAIN. There are few surprises.

For US senator: Cotton vs Shoffner.

For US representatives: Crawford vs Green, Parsons; Hill vs Jones; Womack vs Ryerse, Wilson; Westerman vs Russell.

The incumbents are in bold face, all republicans, and well known throughout Arkansas. Each incumbent has served at least two terms. They have served proudly and Arkansas has benefited from their leadership. In the last election 54% of the eligible voters turned out and the state voted over whelming republican. Arkansas is a red state. Without Arkansas’ votes the current administration would not have the votes necessary to continue our present national policies. Arkansans’ votes matters.

*The following assumption is mine and not some public poll. The other 46% of the eligible voters are happy with the choices made for Arkansans by the incumbents (status quo) and therefore will stay home again on November 3. And that is okay. Not voting is an exercise of your rights as citizens of Arkansas.
